A Spiritual Campaign to help you grow in your faith.

Starting October 11 -- for 6 weeks
Introductory week on October 4

What is a Spiritual Campaign at Highway?

A spiritual campaign is an opportunity for all the adults of the church to learn about the same spiritual topic at the same time. There is a gathering of momentum when we all focus our teaching and studying on the same topic for a period of time.

We invite you to join with others at Highway, as we embark on an 6-week journey to grow our faith. To help you get the most out of this campaign, we are making a Study Guide available for you. (Scroll down further to see how the Study Guide works for you).

The Campaign is built around three main components:
1. A Sunday sermon/teaching that kicks off the topic for the week.
2. A small group component, to learn more and discuss the teaching with others in a Connect Groups.
3. Weekly persoinal studies on the teaching of the week, and taking time to understand it.

About our Campaign - "What Happens Next".
A Bible Study Exploring the End Times

_______________________________________________________________________

Be Prepared, Not Scared.

Are we living in the end times?

If so, what does that mean for you?

"This study is based on the book of the same title by Max Lucado. With his trademark blend of scriptural truth and hope-infused encouragement, Max Lucado paints a richly resonant portrait of what we can expect as the days grow shorter." (form the book jacket)

What Happens Next is a 6-week study into heaven's time line.

In this study, we will look at heaven's time line and understand that God does not tell us about the end times to frighten us, but instead to encourage our hearts and prepare our spirits. We are to be informed and not intimidated. Max writes: "The future is not frightening if you know the future. And you can know the future when you know who holds it."

These are the six sessions we will study:

Session 1: Made to Reign
Session 2: God's Plan for the Ages
Session 3: The Rescue and the Rewards
Session 4: Destination Wedding
Session 5: God Will Have His Garden
Session 6: The Great Homecoming

Study Guides will be made available after our Sunday services in September and early October.

Make sure you visit the display table in the lobby after the service.

Join a Connect Group

The best way to get the most out of this spiritual campaign series is to be part of a weekly Connect Group. In the small group settings, you will be able to view a short video  teaching by the author, Max Lucado, as he unpacks the topic of the week,  and then take some time to dig deeper into what it means, through discussion and interaction.

There is a STUDY GUIDE to help you walk you through the 6-weeks of "What Happens Next".

Here are the elements you will find in your Study Guide:

Opening Note – This area is for you to read before you head to your Connect Group Meeting. It is designed to set your mind on the topic to be learned and discussed.

Outline – Here you will find a summary of the video teaching, and a space to write your notes from the video teaching as you watch it in your Connect Group.

Pray Page – Here is space where you can write the prayer needs that group members share with you., so that you can continue to pray for them between Connect Group meetings.

Personal Study – In this section you will find three studies, which are to be completed during the week you have between Connect Group. Try to set some time aside to do these studies, as this is where you will most likely learn the most about understanding heaven's time line and God's plan.

Catch Up and Reflect – Suggested: This is section encourages you to get together with another group member to share with each other key iinsights you have learned.

Sermon Notes Page – Use this area to write notes from the Sunday Teaching/Sermon. (These pages are located in the Front of each section in your Study Guide).

You can get a copy of the Study Guide from the display table in the Highway lobby after the morning services, in the month of September and early October. If you prefer a digital copy of the study guide, scroll up to the downlaod button.
