We at Highway Gospel Church welcome you to find a place to belong and invite you to our Sunday worship gathering (10:30 a.m.).
Here are some common questions we answer to assist you:

What can I expect at Highway?

We are so excited that you're considering visiting us at Highway Church. From the moment you walk through our doors, we want you to feel at home here. Our greeting team will meet you at the door, and an usher also help if you need assistance.  Find your spot in our auditorium as you make yourself at home. There is always a place for you at Highway.  If you have children, you can sign them in it at our check-in system for added security.  The children and adults start together in the auditorium, and then the children will be dismissed partway through the morning.

Sunday Mornings at 10:30 a.m.
Every Sunday we gather at 10:30 a.m. for a time of uplifting music, prayer, and some practical and motivational teaching from the Bible.  We sing, we laugh, we learn, we connect, and we grow….it’s not about sitting on a chair and staring at the front, it’s about connecting with God in a real and meaningful way as we spend time together!

Dress so you are comfortable
The dress code is whatever you’ll feel comfortable in! Some people like to dress up a bit, wanting to look their best in God’s house…others prefer the casual approach, wearing jeans and T-shirts because it’s more comfortable to worship that way. Whatever your perspective, we want you to feel relaxed!

Where can I park?
We have ample free parking right behind the building.  As you drive to the church (on Midland Ave.) the parking is located right behind the building, just turn onto Reeve Ave, and you will be able to access the parking lot from there.  The entrance to the building is located on the front corner - there is a pathway from the parking lot to the front door.
We have a parking lot attendant who can answer any questions if you have them.

What's the music like?
We offer contemporary praise and worship with an upbeat flavour. Worship at HGC (Highway) is anything but boring. Led by several very gifted musicians, our services are a time of celebration and are typically very joyful and uplifting, all with the intention of bringing glory to Christ our Lord.

What if I have kids?
We have nursery and preschool departments for all children under 5 years of age.  These departments are open prior to our 10:30 a.m. Sunday service.  You will have to check your child(ren) in as a security measure for your own safety and that of your child.

For your child's security, we ask you to check your child in at the kid's kiosk every Sunday using our secure system called KidCheck. Want to know more about KidCheck or learn how to use it? Click here for more information.

Children Grades 1 -5
The children in these grades are invited to worship with the entire church for the first part of the service.  Partway through the service, they will be invited to make their way to "Zoom Church", where they will be taught at an age-appropriate level. You can receive your child at the conclusion of the service by going to the lower-level Zoom area.

Junior High
We have a Junior High Program (grades 6-8) that takes place on Friday nights from 7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. (From Sept - June)

Youth
If you have a High School student, then we invite them to join us bi-weekly on Monday evenings at 7:00 p.m. for a specific gathering of Youth. (From Sept-June)

For your child's security...

All our volunteers and staff who serve in both Children and Youth Programs have gone through a routine background police check, including a Plan to Protect training course on code of conduct. Volunteers and staff are required to go through the same security checks and tests every year they return to serve in both ministries.
